The gap

Every duty validated on charge

Find out at the desk, not on the road.

The planner computes the state of charge each vehicle is projected to have at the end of the run it has been given. If it does not cover, that is visible while the plan is still on the screen. A schedule that ignores the battery is a rota, not a plan.

Charging where it is cheap

You cannot charge them all at once.

Every vehicle comes home inside the same few hours and the depot has a contracted power limit. Charge everything at once and you pay the peak, or breach the connection. FleetIQ orders vehicles by tomorrow's departure and spreads the sessions across the cheap window.

The document comes out of the system

One day of data, three reports.

Kilometres in one report, validations in another, energy in a third: every request from the city or the funder costs a day of copying between spreadsheets. Here the operating report, the energy and cost report and the sustainability report are generated from the same day the dispatcher was looking at.
